So, following this peculiar line of logic, those who are loquacious shall rise through the ranks.

Lucky there's not too many wimmen on this forum, otherwise they'll shatter the glass ceiling and rule us all through pure power of jibber jabber.

Take a look at how some other forums rank their members. It might be more appropriate to modify our approach.

That's exactly right - when the post counts left for a while we also lost all the "lol", "ok", "nice" and other interesting replies to posts.

No Zak - I meant our friend with the 20kg Sidewinder copy.

I personally didn't mind the "registered user", but "ON THIN ICE!" was my favourite so far...

Maybe a complex matrix of (date joined x actual contributions to relevant discussions) / (arguments started + posts consisting only of smilies)

The most confusing thing about that equation is what to do with all the negative results...

Pick someone and I will do the equation for you - easy peasy... Everything is out of 10 and you can't divide by 0 so there needs to be a 1 underneath at least.

Doug = 99 (date joined: 9.9 x actual contribution: 10 ) / (arguments started: 1 + posts consisting of smilies: 0)

Phil = 13.2 (date joined: 9.9 x actual contribution: 8 ) / (arguments started: 4 + posts consisting of smilies: 2)

Phil gets an extra 50 points for pure entertainment value so brings him up to 63.2

See - told you it was easy!

(does this mean I now get a 1 for arguments started? woo hoo!)

Sam = (9*3)/(5+5) = 2.7 + 30 for comedy value

Total = 32.7

Someone else has to pick what the rankings mean...

0-9 is what?
10-19 etc...

Zak = 1 ( 9x1 )/( 1+8 ) you get an extra 5 points for your "who gives a f*ck anyway" video so brings you to 6.

That is about as far as I want to go with this one sorry Nathan - I am happy to pass the buck to the admin team to work their magic. I was simply explaining my extremely simple formula. (You got 30 by the way)
