Shocks Rusting

Postby Rayatswan » Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:29 am

I purchased some Edge Shocks for my buggy and i am finding that they are rusting, i know i can pull them apart and get the removable parts plated but what about where the spring tensioners screw onto the shocks, any suggestions appreciated

Zinc plate the sleeves & top cap when you send out the other machined parts of your buggy to be zinc plated.

Yes you can strip the whole shock down.
When you do, be careful not to push the shock shaft all the way into the body.
The shaft lip can disapear into the seal & let out the oil & gas.
