Hi,

i have an old crashed Nissan Micra with a 1200cc 52 or 54 HP engine, but it is uses a belt, not a chain... It runs smoothly and has all the parts. Can it be converted to a chain drive? Would it be a good engine for the X2?

if not, what would you recommend?
I don't have much experience with bikes. Suzuki TL1000, Honda VTR1000, Aprilia RSV1000,Suzuki GSX1300 Hayabusa and Kawasaki’s ZX14R are mentioned in the plans. But here in Croatia, it's hard to find them, currently there is only 1 hayabusa for sale in whole Croatia...
Can somebody point me to a good topic or webpage where i can read about the general difference in bike engines, and you give me some more recommended engines? I am comfortable with weaker, medium and stronger engines... Whatever I will find worth the money.

I am not in a hurry, because I am currently living in a small flat and have no space to build the buggy yet. My new house with a garage and workshop won't be finished until the end of next year...
But I hope I can get some work done before that in my company... We have several CNC maschines, workcenters, hydraulic presses, lathes, TIG welders... so it shouldn't be a problem.
I bought the digital plans and the laser cut files... About that... Do I need to offset the lines, what is the tolerance on this drawings? Because the laser beam will eat a small amout of the material... For example, if i draw a 10mm circle and cut it, depending on the material thickness and the laser settings, i will maybe get a 9,90-9,95 circle...
