The Drakart started in French Canada, but is now made in California.
It started as an alternative to the 350 Odyssey & Pilot for the Micky Thompson Stadium racing series of Super Lite racing.

You could at the time race a Drakart in the same series alongside the FL350 Odyssey/Pilot as the Drakart was made to similar dimensions to conform to the racing rules which were originally based on the FL350 Odyssey.

The Drakart has not changed much since.

The main problem with the Drakart is the same as the FL350/Pilot.
They are too small for anything other than short closed circuit racing.
For many people thats just fine.
But because of their small size they lack cornering stability & suspension travel, as well as ability to soak up woops & judders in the road as they pitch fore-aft like most short wheelbase vehicles.

Drakart had a presence at Glamis when I was there & they certainly did not match the performance of most of the bigger bike powered Mini buggies.
They just could not handle the woops or soak up the decent bumps.

But I'm sure Baz will have it skooting around the Northam track as fast as his Pilot, which is a suitable enviroment as that's pretty much what it was designed for.

Well! The Drakart won out,and has left Denver Colorado this morn.
Should be in SoCal by Wed,then a leisurely 2 month cruise to Aus.
Can't wait to see how it'll compare to the LT CR500 Pilot.
If good, then I know of a Busa Drak for sale as well! :D
Then I'll be allowed to play"Silly Buggers" with the bigger Boys! 8)
