Nice work there Reid. Im up for the dirt events. Time for me to buy new wheels and tyres i think. I wonder if the same sort of events are going on in NSW ?

I can't believe i'm about to say this but i'm probobly more interested in the on road events  I bought the new buggy with the idea of thrashing it around the dirt but when i saw how Purrdy she is i can't bring myself to get her all dirty  Sad i know, but can someone tell me how to go about getting the appropriate Cams license ? Thanks Justin

I know where you are coming from Justin. Your buggy cost you a lot and you want to look after it. Ive only run at Proston on dirt where you can just go home and wash the dust off...no rocks and no damage. I think there are other venues on Reids list that would be the same so you dont have to run your buggy on tarmac alone. I just turned up at Proston and filled out at a form and my CAMs licence turned up in the mail.
Cheers
Mike :)

Yeah as Mike said Justin, Just go on the CAMS website, Download the appropriate licence, my suggestion would be go for the (Level 2 Speed L2S) one. This licence over rides the non-speed one anyhow, pay the appropriate fee and they will send it out to you. Its that easy. For Circuit licence, Im pretty sure that you need medicals etc, but should also be pretty straight forward to get also if you feel like turning some circuit laps in the circuit events at Queensland Raceway. I cant see how you wouldn't take that thing out one the black stuff, looks real solid.

Big Tom (the Irishman) was running his Rage buggy with slicks on at my last track day at lakeside. All details regarding a licence can be found at this link.

Hi Boys
Going to have a run at the Nabiac Autocross this weekend. Robert the club secretary has welcomed me to run with them so it all sounds positive. I will suss it out and send you a report and pics next week. Im not exactly sure what a Autocross is but it sounds similar to what we do at Proston. Its a disused airport from WW2. Heres a link to the club site and a goggle map.

Your right there Rat. No point having it in the shed and not running it. I put my entry in late because i thought i would be working but the rain has stopped us planting. If i don't get accepted to run i will drive over and check it out anyway re track, cars, camping ect. Only three hours from here so its an easy drive. How is "knuckles" build going ?

Hi Guys, you should consider comming out to the Millmerran dirt sprints. It's a one day event on a sunday .
Racing starting around 8.30am through till around 4pm. You get between 7 & 8 runs (2 1/2 laps) depending on how many entrants. Very well run, quite laid back atmosphere, friendly country blokes. It's held once a month for 7 mths of the year
there is only June July and August left for 2011. I probably won't make it to the June meet due to work commitments but plan to be there for the 17th July meet. The days race costs $50 and the club join fee is $40 for the year this club fee will also cover you for the Pittsworth Street sprints 3day event in september2011. You can download entry forms on their web sight at www.millmerranautoclub.com . Mine was the only buggy at last month so it would be great to have some more buggy support, its a great track day! :D It's free to spectate and there's a canteen for food. Millmerran is only 45mins from Toowoomba so its not too far to go from Brisbane.

Thanks for that info mate. Sound like a good club to be involved with. I for one would be keen to have a go there. Have you got any pics of the event you went to?
Cheers
