I just quit my job which was taking up way to much buggy building time lol I now have a few weeks off before my new not so hetic job starts so hopefully get her ready for the test drive

funny how things work out after 15 years of wishing I was a mechanic I landed a adult apprenticeship as a mechanic absolutely loving it :P :P :P :P

I've spent the last 15 years wishing I was a millionaire. ... strange.... hasn't happened yet :P
Just jokes tho. Wish you all the best. I looking for a new job myself. ..considering getting out of the welding / fabricating industry.

Ha ha thanks mate, I've just left the fabrication game I was a foreman at a sheetmetal shop I'd have to say the only problem in the industry is you work your ass off and have to account for every minute of the day its a cut throat industry best thing I've ever done was getting out of it

I hear ya...I finished up two weeks ago as foreman also. Too many polotics. ..kept cutting back my staff n budget but still expected same output and more....
My mate does immigration security. ..flys all over the world and gets paid a sh#t load to do it. I considering it myself

How did you go about getting that adult apprenticeship?
I'm a social worker, which i enjoy but wouldnt mind doing something different in the future.

I just applied for a apprentice mechanic jobs until someone saw past the age and saw the value of my experience to be honest pictures of my buggy got me the job lol

Funny you say that! Although my age wasn't an issue i just applied for an aircraft mechanics apprenticeship. Got the interview and the chief engineer said he chose me out of 105 people due to the folder of pictures I had of the buggy build. So glad I thought to do a build log!
