Chris' RVT Powered Piranha

Chris' RVT Powered Piranha

Postby dunerider » Wed Jan 21, 2009 4:25 am

Hey I thought you guys might like to see some of the pictures of the Piranha I built. It is slightly modified. I made the chassis wider and longer, it has double a-arm suspension in the front, and three point swing arm suspension in the rear, it is powered by a Honda RVT 1000 with loads of torque, cv axles with IRS bearing carries in the swing arms, wing trunk, water proof, enclosed electric box, aluminum fire wall, and other modifications..........It runs really well has vertually no bump steer and hits speeds approaching 100 miles and hour in the sand without even getting into 6th gear. I hope you like it....Chris

Buggy looks great! Glad to finally see it up and running. That RC-51 really pulls hard huh? I love it.

Great job! I too love the mods.

Things are good here. Glad to help. Turned out $hit hot! Its a testament to the quality when you take your time and do alot of planning!

Wish you lived closer. If you ever feel the need to take a road trip we need to hit Silver Lake or somthing! Hell I may head west myself. You could head east. I hear of a place that may be between us for dune riding.

take it easy. Dont lose my phone # or E-mail.

Later Doug

Yeah Doug that would be kick ass to meet up some time. Have you ever heard of St. Anthony, Idaho??? They are only the tallest dunes in North America. Check em out on youtube. I used to live 15 minutes from them and rode quads and bikes there all the time. If you ever want to head west, we should meet up there. It would be a great time.....Let me know.

Yes I have pics of the build on my home computer. I will download some of them tonight. I was not as good about docummenting my build as Doug and some of you guys are, but I did get some good pics of the modifications along the way.
