Gday All,

Been making great headway over the past 6 weeks, pushing for a Xmas dead line. (don't hold me to that)
Got wiring sorted and that is a massive task! totally re wired from scratch, and in process did the TRE mod, removed the exhaust valve servo, bye passed the clutch switch the proper way, removed the side stand switch interlock, and installed a switch to pop it into dealer mode if I ever need to get some codes from the ECU.
Also got the lighting sorted but not sure where to mount them ( up on roll cage or either side of bonnet?)
Dash is in with all the switch's I need and a spare just in case, did the fire wall out of 3mm aluminium and plasma cut 150 panel tabs.

But most exciting of all I fired it up on Saturday  Bit of stuffing around to get the injectors unstuck after 4 years of sitting, but WOW this is a sweet motor and them pipes just sound awesome !!

Enjoy the pics

yeah itchy there called nutserts or rivnuts you can get them from m5 through to m12 in aluminium, steel, and stainless most fastener supply shops have them but if not eBay
I got the tool to install them on eBay, it's like a air powered pop rivert gun $90 I think, and the nutserts in m8 are worth about $25 per 100 online.
Way faster than taping all the panel tabs :)

Hi All,

Update on the buggy, Had some issues with the drive line not being up to the task  center shaft twisting and pulled the washers over the counter sunk bolts that retain the CV adapters to the center shaft and snapped the 4 m8 bolts for the sprocket.
Did some re work on this and now its bomb proof, Heat treated 4140 6 spline shaft with spline only on the ends, up the 3mm washers to 6mm with 2mm deep counter bore and did away with the counter sunk m8 bolts for m10 button head cap screws in the counter bore washers also re made the sprocket hub so it has a pilot in the middle and 8 of the m8 bolts. its rock solid now I have dropped endless hard take offs and 50mt line lockies on hard pack clay with no issues

Awesome work on your Piranha mate! Any updates?

Absolutely love the exhaust, would love to do a similar setup once I get an engine lol. Just wondering what the size of the tube for the last half of the exhaust is? Looks like 2.5"?

Cheers
