I received my plans a couple of weeks ago and I am starting to gather parts. I was wondering what sources you are using for parts in the US. How bad is shipping from Australia to US?

Shipping is not too bad. And I have always received my parts within 4 weeks of ordering.

I'm in the Alexandria area. Are you building a buggy? I'm thinking of starting a Cuda this winter.

Hey poochdaddy go to JD2.com very reasonable tube benders. Also go to your local race shop they'll bend your tubes for you. Thats what I'm doing for my barracuda, they also supply the tubing. Just tell what you want and the rest is history. For a welder go to fleet farm and buy your self a hobart 120 welder they run about $400. Thats if you can afford it.

I haven't bought the plans for the Barracuda yet. I did however get a used Greenlee 883 pipe pipe bender from E-bay recently for my shop that has yet to become reality. This one has two frames One for up to 2 inch and the other up to 4 inch pipe.

for me if i need pipe bent i just go to fabrication shops and have them throw together the frame and all the extras and goodies that are just for fun. well i also go to my brother. but since money is so tight i sold all my dune buggies. so idk when i will get another one.
adrenaline is the worlds greatest drug, dune buggys are the adrenaline, the twenty foot jump is the supplier!!! :)

oh jet its very common for 14 year olds to have a few dune buggys lying arround, but as we all know if you can afford to have fabrication shops just whip one up and have a few laying arround, the money must be tight to do such things.

speedfreak69, you are a twit.
