Battery upgrade ( upsize )

Postby Spider GK 250 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 10:28 pm

Hi, I'm wondering what size of battery is the best to upgrade to for my project, It's running standard FZR 600 1991 12v / 12AH battery. I hoping to upgrade to a small marine battery or similar, but unsure of the which type to use. any assistance is welcomed. cheers

you want a fully sealed, battery is best and possibly dry cell. something the ones they use it car stereos, can handle lots of vibration, i went and got a bike battery to suit, harley, they are fully sealed, and was 320cca so that huge for my buggy :) as i will need it for electric power steering, and reverese :)

I would recommend the AGM type of batteries.
Absorbed Glass Mat,they are spill proof, and handle long periods of no use, unlike std lead acid bats.
They also handle total discharges and vibes way superior to std lead acid...Baz
