What battery?

Need a spark. All those tedious electrics, lights, tacho, wiring harness, etc

What battery?

Postby Mongrel » Tue Jun 29, 2010 9:21 pm

Been looking around today at AGM batteries and need some advice:

CCA?
Brand?
Part No?

Prefer something bike size to fit behind my seat. GPZ750 carby engine, spotties, thermo - that's it.

Thanks in advance...

Hey Mongrel, will have to check the cca on mine but its an odessey.Bout 180x180x75,been great havent had to put it on charge since I put it in me buggy, stays connected and even with the buggy sittn for such a long time I can just turn everything on and crank her over with no probs.Pretty pricey tho,but i did some tiling for this bloke and just exchanged my time for the batt,he sells them for aboutthe 300 mark i think from memory. Will check the cranking amps for ya tomorrow.cheers ron

I have the PC680 MJ, it's probably a bit big, the smaller ones would still have plenty of power

either the 535 or 625

Had to duck into Canberra today so stopped into Battery World in Fyshwick and picked up a PC680MJT for $385

Probably could have shopped around but I didn't want to slow down the roll I appear to be on right now. I am happy with the size, 2yr warranty etc so all good! I won't buy cheap brands anymore, in my job (as one of the premium brands) I see the value in 'getting what you pay for' so I am practicing what I preach...

Cheers
