Custom wiring loom

Postby Mclovin » Fri May 24, 2013 7:27 pm

Does anyone know where I can source some wire for a wiring loom? I plan on making my own wiring loom as the original is messy as hell and I would like it done properly with very minimal soldering and chopping.

What wire can I use? Where can I find some? What plugs can I use?

Cheers!

depending on what amp circuits you are running you can use trailer wire usually comes in any where from 4 core to 7 core and makes it a lot neater

You may be surprised at how cheap the proper tefzel wire is. Through a Motec dealer (www.motec.com.au) it should work out at a bit over $1 a metre for 22 gauge, or around $2 a metre for 16 gauge.. right upto 6 gauge at about $16 a metre. But please don't just go for the cheapest wire you can find at your local Supercheap / Repco.
