here are some pics of my build so far iv changed the steering and lengthened the frame and im making a roll cage as well

nice kart dont know about the seat though i had one years ago and couldn't drive it longer than 10 min cause my back would be killing me

Very interested steering setup. looking good man but that seat looks hard.

yea thanks gonna get another seat shortly lol , hopefully my steering setup will work ok just need to strengthin it a bit more .

got most of my frame round the engine tacked up tonight and lathed up some reducing bushes for the hubs im using, just gota get keyways cut into them. i should be able to get my drive sprockets set up tomoz with a bit of luck if everything goes to plan

What motor is that? 250cc and four cylinders is fairly unusual.

Also, that's a lot of horsepower for a funkart, especially with a steering setup like that.

its a Yamaha FZR 250 engine, Honda and Kawasaki made similar models to they are all jap imports . They are suppose to be about 40 hp give or take.
as for the steering iv got to strengthen it up a bit, i didn't like the old steering set up u don't get much movement and i couldn't get my hands on a small rack and pinion set up so that's what i came up with hopefully it works

I always thought the 250s were two cylinder. Learn something new everyday...

Looking good mate!

I don't want to sound negative about your steering, but I think you will have some problems with it jamming as it packs with dirt and rocks. You might want to consider a salvaged car rack. Should be able to pick something up for less than $50. Just my 2 cents.......

yea i couldn't get hold of a steering rack im gonna enclose it if it works ok, see how it goes
